Exploring Enrollment?

Are you interested in enrolling your child in one of our excellent schools? We warmly welcome you and encourage you to look around our webpage to find out more about us. Then, use the “Find a School” page to locate the school nearest you.

Each school’s webpage will have more information to help you in your decision, but we hope you’ll also take the time to contact the school, ask questions, and arrange a tour. We know that once you visit one of our Christian schools and meet our caring and dedicated people, you’ll be impressed.

Come and experience the difference for yourself! You’ll see how a Christ-centered education can make the difference in the life of your family.

Your Next Steps

Now that you’ve found ChristianSchoolsMilwaukee.com, we hope you’ve taken the time to look around our website to find out some of the basics about our schools. What’s next?

  1.  Once you’ve explored our site, we hope you’ll find a school near you and do some more research online.
  2.  Contact the school (or schools) you’re most interested in and arrange a meeting.
  3.  Discuss enrollment options with the school of your choice.

Although our Christian schools are united in mission and teachings, they are independent entities and may offer different options for enrollment. Just a few examples of these options are listed below:

  • Because our affiliated congregations support the mission of our schools, they typically make it possible to offer a very affordable tuition.
  • Some schools may offer free tuition for a period of time, as a way to introduce you to what our Christian schools can offer.
  • Many of our schools offer a lower tuition for families who become members of their affiliated church.
  • Tuition grants are available at some of our schools.
  • Several of our schools participate in the Parental Choice program. More information on Choice is available below, including brochures, websites, forms, and enrollment periods.
  • Please keep in mind that the Choice programs (and the participating schools) change regularly, so we can’t always keep up with the latest information. Refer to the Wisconsin DPI Choice page, and contact the individual school for the most accurate details.

Private School Choice Programs

The state of Wisconsin manages three separate programs that allow eligible students to attend a participating private school. The private school, on behalf of the pupil’s parent or guardian, receives a state aid payment for each eligible student. The two private school choice programs (Choice) that may be available for schools in our directory are the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) and Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP). Student eligibility, which is established by state law, varies for each program. Student eligibility is a combination of student residence, income, and prior year attendance. There is also an age requirement that must be met for grades K4, K, and 1.

We will not go into great detail on Choice programs on this site, but you can get more information by contacting the school you’re interested in and by visiting the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website.

Not all of our schools have joined the Choice program. Contact the school to determine participation. If a school does participate, you can then find out which of the programs you are eligible to apply for. It is based on where the family lives at the time of application:

  • To apply for the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), the student must reside in the city of Milwaukee. Note: this does not include the other cities in Milwaukee County. Only residents of the city of Milwaukee may apply to the MPCP.
  • To apply for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP), the family must reside outside of the city of Milwaukee and outside of the Racine Unified School District. Residents of Milwaukee county cities that are not the city of Milwaukee may apply to the WPCP.

Due to changes in the MPCP and WPCP programs, all Choice applications are made through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website (versión en Español).

On that website, you can find:

  • Student application information
  • Important dates
  • Lists of participating schools in each program
  • Parent brochures
  • and more
